Go to a nice and big catering hall. Maybe with a DJ, have your friends help you pick out some music you wanna hear. Also, try to get balloons...maybe like a balloon arch. (Those are always pretty.) You can have everyone wear formal wear. Like gowns, and tuxedos. (Nothing major though.) The color theme, birthday cake, food, and drinks are up to you. Have fun! :]

Rent out a hall, get a DJ, good food, good friends.. Just have fun. Sometimes themes are fun - costume parties, "celebrity" themed (drses up as a celebrity), luau, tropical, "winter wonderland," just about anything you can think of!!

Career party. Have everyone dress up in masquerade as the profession they would like to grow up to be. Years later it will kinda be funny to see how well they stuck to their "goals"

Hook up the PS2 (for the boys), get some easy cheap food, like soda and pizza, and crank up the music...the rest will happen on its own!
