I had pains similar to the ones you describe when I was around five weeks...turned out a lot of mine was just gas. However, I did have some that I knew weren't gassy in nature and were more than likely just my uterus stretching to accomodate my growing baby(according to my ob/gyn). However, I strongly recommend that you consult your doc ASAP and if the cramps become severe or you have any sort of bleeding along with them, get to the ER.

With the pregnancy being in such an early stage, it is best to consult a doctor immediately. It may be nothing at all or it could be serious. Please do not trust the life of your baby to people answering questions on the internet, call a doctor or emergency room right away and have the situation checked out.

Its probably normal but if the pain increases call you doctor right away otherwise tell your doctor at your next visit. Its probably just because things are moving around in there and making room. I felt like I did 100 crunches everyday till about 5 months. Good luck and congrats.

Its all normal. I had the same thing up until 20wks. You will get all weird and niggly pains often. Just keep an eye out for blood and if the cramping becomes extremem then see your doctor.

It may be normal to be experiencing what you are discribing. It could be you uterus expanding or something more serious. I would make an appointment with the OBGYN and see what she/he says. use your own judgement. Good luck to you!
