Lots of people marry their high school sweethearts. It works out 50% of the time probably. Marrying a college sweetheart works out much better. It's because the older you are when you get married, the more mature you are, and the better you know yourself and your sweetheart. Sometimes high school sweethearts don't last because they outgrow each other. If you want to marry your high school sweetheart, date a couple years after high school before you get married. Then you should be okay if you are still in love.

I personally can't say as I'm a senior in high school and presently have no sweetheart at all, but I know two different couples who were close friends in middle school, and dated all throughout high school. Both couples are still together and in a strong relationship, but I think they're waiting until they finish college to get married.

I married my high school sweetheart and it didnt last.We were married 10 yrs.Its my thought that people should wait until after college to marry or the age of 24 - 25 then you have experienced life on your own and are more settled.Sometimes first loves are not the last ones due to the fact we dont know if they are Mr. Right because we really dont know anyone to compare.Just my thoughts!!!!!!

Yes, I married mine in 1996, 2 days after graduating from high school. We split in March 2002. We were both young and he decided he wasn't ready to quit dating, I finally found this out after 9 years! He cheated for 9 years and I never had any solid proof.

I married at 19. Dated for 1.5 yrs. We've been married for 10 yrs. I still love him dearly and things have worked. But please be sure to date plenty of people before you settle because you will always wonder...is he/she really the one if you dont.
