A chemical dipole is a neutral molecule which has an excess of charge at either end. Dipole dipole forces are the electromagnetic forces between chemical dipoles. The most obvious examples are those involving covalent bonds of hydrogen such as HCl (which you mentioned, HF, etc. The most common example is H20 (water) which forms unusually extensive polar bonding networks.
