Yeah, I usually throw down and rattle up the homies to have a huge cottin pickin party at pappies old plantation. We love recolectin on all the fun we coulda had if the south actually suceeded

A lot of it's mechanically picked and processed these days. But yes, I used to live in the Delta, and saw cotton growing all the time.

The US government did a 5-year/$7.5million study and attempted to train cotton to pull itself off the stem and run into the cotton comb machine, but it couldn't be done and concluded that it still needed to be picked.

yes, was driving across Mississippi delta country, in Arkansas, huge field, at time wondered if they would get it picked by Christmas, time for planting next year???
