When I saw your question, I assumed you were referring to adolescence. However, now that I see the entire thing...NOPE. I take it you work with alot of other women. I do not say that to be gender bias, as I am a woman, but 97% of our gender are like that. My only advice to you is get to know the person before you place judgment. I am sure you know that, so I am preaching to the choir. Perhaps your co workers are jealous of this person, see her/him as a threat? Stand up for yourself. Work is work. Leave the personal crap out of it.

Never, .
You should never go along with what someone else thinks of someone what if they're wrong? Who are we to know what circumstances have brought on any events? What is their side of the story? I've always looked at people for their individuality and not for what others have to say or ever had to gossip about them.

I did that once, and regretted it. I don't know if it's the way today's world works or not, but it just seems easier to be pessimistic and NOT like people than it is to say good things about them and have people agree with you. So I try to be geniune, and like the people I like, and not talk about the people I don't. Because I don't want someone treating me like that.

Yes, and it sucks. If I am to dislike someone, it would be personal. If someone murdered somebody that was in my neighborhood, I would dislike him/her for that reason even if he didn't do anything to me. If a kid i knew tucked in his pink shirt, I would hate him to be "cool" with a crowd. I'm sure than pink-shirted kid is a happy person.
