It depends what you mean. Cingular says that they have the most people on network, both own and partners, plus the most converge area. Remember that's what Cingular says. I think that Alltel is the best service because it lets you run on the Verizon Network and some other small ones. Alltel means All Telecommuting Company's (get it). So if you take it by word, it is Cingular that have more people. I prefer Alltel though.

Currently Cingular has approximately 57 million customers and Verizon is a close second with 55 million. The only reason Cingular is bigger is because of the merger a few years ago with AT&T. Within the next year or two Verizon should pass Cingular based upon numbers of new activations. I believe the 1st quarter of 2006 Verizon did 3.9 million new activations and Cingular did somewhere around 3.1 million.

Cingular is a huge network and you can use them just about anywhere and have a good signal. I have Cingular and so far its the best one yet!

Cingular has by far the largest market share....last time i checked it was over 50 millions subscribers...I believe Verizon is in second.
