Taoism is a beautiful philosophy. It teaches of Tao, or the source of life. It is believed to have been passed down through generations. The Tao Te Ching, which contains the essence of Taoism, is believed to have been written by Lao Tzu. Many people believe it was actually written by many philosophers. I would recommend reading the Tao Te Ching and the Chuang Tzu. Beware, there are hundreds of translations, which can be literal, academic, or "Westernised".

Confucianism teaches morality, whereas Taoism is more metaphysical.

Zen is actually Japanese, not Chinese. The word Zen means, literally, meditation, and relies on experience rather than scripture. Chinese Buddhism came from India. There are many sects in Buddhism.

Well, I know it but I don't follow it. Taoism and Buddhism can be considered a religon as well. However, they are all very unique and heavily influenced the cultures/philosophies of Korea, Japan, and the rest of Asia.

Incorrect. Chinese Buddhism is known as Chan Buddhism, and was brought to Japan. The Japanese gave it the name Zen Buddhism, but Chan and Zen Buddhism are the same thing.

I understand Taoism and Confucianism are frequently categorized as religions, yet I have a tendency to agree extra with the region that they are philosophies. Taoist Philosophical perspectives on Cosmology did have an exceedingly good effect on the style of chinese drugs. Yin-Yang diametric competition and the mutual engendering is between the most important examples. in the intervening time, the Sheng and Ke/Ko cycles are Confucian of their description of function and the organ applications are defined in Confucian words. both philosophies had a huge result on chinese drugs.
