Someone should tell these dipwad punks that it looks retarded. I think it means, small penis=fat tailpipe.

Oversized tailpipes do nothing for the car. Exhaust only escapes as fast as the narrowest point in the exhaust system will allow it to. The pipes are strictly for show. And yes, they are retarded.

My personal opinion is the larger the tailpipe tipe.. the smaller the penis of the driver ;p
But honestly, its media selling things to ppl that know nothing about cars.. putting a 6 inch wide tip on a tailpipe that is 1 7/8" diameter is beyond worthless.. of course then you can get them with led lights in them or preblued metal .
I belive its like fireflies...

I guess they just like driving around looking like they've got a beer can stuck up their backsides while sounding like a continuous beer fart.
Back in the day, tricking a car out to rock and roll without being visually obvious was the way to go. A 66 Ford Falcon with a 300 inch truck 6 and a turbo looked and sounded dead stock but would blow a Hemi Cuda into the weeds. VERY embarrasing!

not sure what you define ridiculous, but my mercury marauder has twin tail pipes that are bigger than most cars I have seen. It is only surpassed by a few heavy trucks and they only have one. Just what my car came with though.

They do it for three reasons.
1. they think it looks cool
2. more power from the car (it really does, but the motor wears out sooner.)
3. they are idiots that think it makes them look big (as you mentioned... big pipe compensates for small penis.)
