Yeah everyone can agree we want to prevent future attacks but how would you go about doing it? I'm looking for ideas from both republians and democrats. If you don't agree with what Bush is doing (alot of people feel that way) then explain what you would do different if you were president?

Who cares what the terrorists think about blowing themselves up. Kill them and let them find out for themselves there are no virgins for them in hell.

Contrary to uninformed popular belief, terrorism is defeated with police tactics not warfare. For one thing, you cannot fight a war against ‘terror’. That is like fighting a war against ‘flanking maneuvers’. Sure, they are real, but you cannot just focus on that.

And, when was the last time your heard about the Red Brigade or IRA? You don’t because the were dealt with using police methods. It was police methods that allowed the British to stop the most recent airline bomb plot.

Intelligence is the key to defeating terrorism, and to get intelligence – you need countries that are friendly and willing to cooperate. Right after 9/11 both Iran and Syria provided critical intelligence tracking Bin-Laden to Afghanistan and pinning the bombings on him.
Do you think they will help now?

Without intelligence we are certain to be attacked – and the next one will be so massive that everyone will forget 9/11.

When that happens, no one will care and no one will help because Bush has destroyed America’s honor, dignity, and role as the moral and ethical world leader.

Bush has turned the whole world against us and when the time comes that we really do need help – there will not be any.

AH HA Says "kill them" What a Dumb a s s,, They want to die you Idiot that's why your having such a problem. Do you think if they were worried about how many you kill they would be blowing them selves up.

Use your head for more then separating your ears. If they die they get 40 virgins, No wonder they are lining up. You will never kill them all .

Killing them just makes more, Just like worms if you break them up you just make more worms. That is not the answer so quit the tough guy **** .

I don't know what you do myself, but I think your Beloved Bush should have thought about that before invading Iraq for nothing..

smart submit. i became in extreme college in the time of Eisenshower's second time period. i have voted in each Presidential election when you consider that Goldwater. this does no longer make me particular, only a toddler boomer. I do have a attitude depending in adventure with 11 Presidential Administrations. I did adventure the US military below the draft, and that i served in warfare time at the same time as thousands did not. You articulate extreme concerns, and also you gained't get articulated responses. I easily have witnessed the yank human beings make corrections, by the poll, those previous 40 5 years. i urge you to have self belief contained in the folk, tens of millions upon tens of millions in united statesa. share your observations and your concerns. Dissent is the breath of our Democracy, the yank human beings will be triumphant as will worry-loose sense.

I think it's past time to strengthen our borders. Time to deal with the immigration issue.

I think that the absence of terrorist attacks on US soil these past 5 years signals that our efforts in the middle east are paying off... I also think the relatively short Hezbollah-Israel seige is a signal that a democracy (or at least a US presence) in the middle east is a good idea...

I think the President's weakness has been his inability to deal effectively with domestic affairs simultaneously with foreign affairs. It seems many of his domestic ideas got tabled...

I think the President should seem more willing to listen to Republican dissenters, rather than appear to only surround himself with people who agree with him...

Homeland security. We need to stop raping countries and become more concerned with our own self. HORRAY, we brought Hussein to justice even though we created a horde of angry extremists. HORRAY, we brought Hussein to justice, despite our rising national debt. HORRAY, we brought Hussein to justice, even though the majority of the world now thinks were bullies.

If we want to defeat terrorists we can either fight them politically, and convince harboring countries to not let them hide there, or release our minutemen of the southern states on them.

Kill them before they kill us! Simple right? Just let the soldiers do the job they were hired for and keep the politicians out of it!

If I were the media, I woulf quit airing BIn Laden or terrorist tapes. Once they get the idea that no one is interested (or seemingly so), they may figure what good would carrying out terrorist acts be?
