Ok to learn how to draw, take the Fundamentals of art it will teach you anatomy and basic figures. You may want to get some artist anatomy books, maybe some comic book character how to’s. They really break it down. Painting takes more skill, a simple studio art is the best to start with, or basic ceramics for sculpture. It takes lots of patients and time to become a well skilled artist. Focus and don't play around in class if you want to get better. Try to look at others and study their techniques or methods, see how you can use them to help you. Observe and incorporate do not copy. Art is about expressing the self. Chose one thing to work on do not do all three at the same time. Drawing is the basic then go to paint; ceramics is different from painting and drawing. Personally I am great at drawing, painting and digital but my pots suck. ;) Good luck

Not everyones great at everything, which is what makes art great. Art classes arent really based on skill in one area really unless it is a specilized class. But a general art class, the emphasis is more about understanding art and the techniques used. The principles and elements of art, and about the emotion behind it. After that you can usually take more branched off classes where it matters, im taking photo and sculpture right now actually, and even there your not really judged on the work, but the effort and your support of the subject matter.

I think age 14 is the perfect age to start martial arts training. I was 14 (almost 15) when I started taking Tae Kwon Do. Listen to what PugPaws states in here. I have followed his many posts and he seems to be the most down-to-earth person that answers questions in this forum...and he does not hesitate to call a spade a spade when it comes to "exposing" how many dojos are more worried about the almighty dollar rather than trying to provide the best training possible. Do this. Click on pugpaws name on here and read every answer he's given. It will give you a solid foundation of what to expect when making good choices for your martial arts education.

I took art in high school and it was great. What you may like about it is the informality of the class. You can relax in a class like that. If you do take art you may find another way to express your artistic talents using other types of art. What have you got to loose? Try it. Incidentally if you look at van Gogh's work, he could never draw very well either but his paintings are superb!!

Take as many art classes as you can. Take Art 101. There are many types of art. You just have to find your nitch. If you have a passion for art, you'll do well in whatever medium you choose.

Art is what comes from within and you don't need an education to express it. However, learning how to see, what to see, how to interpret and react to marks, and choice of materials and how they are applied, comes from without, with the help of someone in the know...someone who has already gone through the trails and errors. The art world does have criteria which sometime are difficult to explain as they are mostly subjective. My advice...follow what you love and you will end up loving what you've done.

I think U should need lots of patient. And u have to draw everything u can imagine (fictional or real) to experiment in what are U good!!!
Practice is the main key to the succes!! If U love art and U do it for Ur self u should create an own style it doesnt matter if it can be selld or nat!!!

Be natural!!!

Honey....its all from within...your spirit & soul will flow thru you to the pad of paper or canvas....play with it...practice your own style and research stuff at your local library too...there is plenty of how to books you can check out and do at home to practice and get started...this way you dont have to be shocked by others etc at school....remember to be flexible and let your own expressive talents come out....be patient...art takes time!!
