I'm talking small towns with populations of 100,000 or more. I promise you, we moved back home from Austin, and for me it's a toss up.

The people that drive the worst are the people from out of town. They drive slower because they're lost, or unfamiliar with the roads and exits. Then they cut across traffic because they just realized that they've reached the right exit. THEN they say the drivers in that town are horrible becasue they're being honked at.

I don't think people should make judgements about drivers in a certain city until they've driven there for at least a couple months. Depending on traditions and/or laws, some parts of the country drive differently for good reason. For example, in Texas, people are allowed to pull over onto the shoulder to allow a faster driver to pass them, so the person behind does not have to enter the other lane (this is on a 2-lane road). In Minnesota, though, this is illegal. So someone from Texas might consider drivers in Minnesota to be 'bad' drivers because they don't pull over to let them pass, since they probably don't know its illegal.

Well Austin has some pretty bad drivers but I'd have to say that they worst are in small towns. We live in a farm community and these old farmers aren't in a hurry to go anywhere they slowly go down the road not paying any attention to the fact that they are going 35 in a 55 and they won't move over so you can pass.

That's not a small town that's a metropolis... My town is small 900 people the only accidents in the last 10 years were caused by big city drivers

I live in a small town and the people drive like crapp!

Population is barely 1,000....but the people are dorks. They drive like, 25 when it rains or snows....or they speed and cut you off. They pull out in front of you and make you slam on your breaks to turn two blocks away.

SMALL TOWN. All the way.

Big city is aggressive, small town is stupid!

The toen I live in is about 2,200 people and I have been to cities as large as Baltimore and New York. I think bad drivers are everywhere...no matter the size of the town.

Larger cities hands down for me. They are filled with "idiots" and "a55holes". The idiots drive slower than me while the a55holes drive faster.

Small town traffic jams usually just consist of a schoolbus and two cars.

Houston will sway the poll heavily in favor of the big cities. You've got to have some kind of death wish to get on the streets and expressways in that metropolis.
