In my opinion, most patriots trust neither party and reluctantly support the Republicans because they are the lesser of two evils.

At this moment, I'm sick of the "social conservatism" crap. But not as much as I'm frightened by the Democrat's agenda. And why isn't there much of an uproar over the electronic voting machines???

Perot seems like he would've been a decent President. We really need someone like that to come along...

Patriots are people who stand up for whats right, not whats popular. Patriots are not afraid to stand against a corrupt government. Patriots are men and women who volunteer to go over to Vietnam, like Kerry or Gore and not do everything they can to get out of fighting like Bush and Cheney did.

The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.
