Yes with a one sided majority Republican vote. The Patriot Act isn't a bi-partisan legislature. The Act was forced on the American public by the the Republican party. Very, very, scary too!!!!

congress and the house only work three days a week, and they take a lot of time off during those three days, and then there is election time they dont work at all, i really doubt they bothered to get up in the middle of the night to work. they just slid the bill thru hidden in the 8531 pages of pork they have been putting together all year long.
