Just before my 5th birthday, my father died. One night soon after his death, I woke up to see him sitting on the foot of my bed. He sort of glowed, and I somehow sensed I was not to touch him. He told me he was sorry he had to leave, that he hadn't wanted to, but he had no choice. He said I was to take very good care of my mother, because she would need my help, and the help of my siblings to get through this. He told me he loved me, and then just faded away. I somehow knew that if I told anyone this had happened, they would just "pooh-pooh" it as the imagination of a little girl who had just lost her daddy. So, I never mentioned it to anyone in my family. Years later, when I was grown, I was visiting my sister, and we were up late, talking into the night at her kitchen table. She suddenly said "You know, I never told anyone this...but Dad came to me after he died." The hair stood up on the back of my neck as she proceeded to relate the exact experience I had had. I shared my story, and we hugged each other and sat at her table and cried, knowing our Dad loved us enough to somehow cross over to the living side ever so briefly in order to say goodbye.

A number of times. One of the most consistent seems to be the ghost of Leslie C. Brand, one of the builders of Glendale, CA. He owned a beautiful castle in the hills, which is now an art & music library open to the public. He believed in life-after-death and reincarnation, and is buried in the park beneath a 12-foot tall granite pyramid.
I have felt his presence as a cold area in an otherwise warm atmosphere, and have heard the chimes at the library go all crazy at odd hours for no apparent reason, followed by the coyotes which inhabit the hills of the estate also yapping and barking during such moments. Workers at the library have seen him walking by the windows of the tower where his bedroom was located. And on many occasions the alarms have been tripped just after closing, but nobody was in there to trip them.
You can look it up on the net. Look under Brand Park.

I have. I saw a white light float down from the ceiling and stay beside the bed. I was very sick at the time and I was crying for my mother. I think that that who's came down to stay with me. After I saw the white light floating, the pain seemed to ease up and I was able to go to sleep.
