play for billy idol in some of his videos.
i've noticed the guitarist looks a spitting image of nikki sixx, he plays six string guitar in the videos, i thought he just palyed bass, but then i saw the video for white trash who nikki plays guitar with, so now i dunno lol.
any info would be great

Yes, it's Billy Idol's guitar player Steve Stephens. However, when Vince Neil first left Motley Crue in the early mid-90's he did a solo tour and guess who his guitar player was? Yep, Steve Stephens. That's the only reason I went to see him at the Roxy in ATL! So, there IS a Crue connection afterall ;-)

I am a huge Motley fan, and I've never heard of Nikki playing with Billy Idol.
BTW, if you haven't read the Motley Crue biography The Dirt, I highly recommend you pick up a copy.

It's possible because in the Motley Crue biography Nikki started out on guitar then switched to bass. He admitted that he's a much stronger guitar player than a bass player. I haven't seen the video so I'm sorry I can't help you with actually who it is. But I can help you out with the fact that he did use to play guitar.
