Can we no longer show "neighbourly love", to those around us??? Why can't we look up... while we walk along the street, make eye contact and say "Hello"????

i think it's hard because we know deep down that it takes alot from us, it's like giving someone half your heart, literally. love is dying slowly, but without love we wouldn't live at all.

I have ask that same question. I think it is because of our fast moving world. We no longer have time to have a conversation at a bus stop. Also that this world has gotten dangerous that we are scared to talk to anyone outside our bubble. Were scared of meeting new ppl bcuz were scared there mayb something wrong with them. We judge to quickly now at days. We make a brick wall around us and close ourselves n to keep the danger out yet we nvr figure out were also keeping out things that could change our life for the good. Its sad how you r thought as werid just for saying hello to someone or starting a conversation with someone you dont know...

I find it more of friendliness. It's hard to find people like that, especially in certain countries, however some countries that I've heard are really friendly. They say hi to anyone they meet. I prefer to go with the smiling and nodding, maybe once in a while in the lift, I ask about my neighbours young son.
It's not hard. It's a custom. People just ain't used to it. Someone has got to start the trend, before we start giving up seats and say hello to people.
I live in Singapore, and most people still aren't very open, but they can get friendly if you open up to them. A simple smile will get you another one in return.

Until we feel that we are worthy of love & deserve to be loved, we will not (maybe CAN NOT) accept that we are lovable.
If a person's "self-image" is so poor, they can't accept care & concern from another.
I think this is where faith helps. If one accepts that God loves you as you are & not as you should be, then it is a start to being able to accept love.

It is my belief that LOVE is the only emotion we can NOT control.
We can control all others...including all of those who we THINK are love (lust, infatuation..etc)
