Yes, all throughout my childhood years. My crazy teachers and my parents did that. Every time I failed my spelling test, I'd get books flying in my face. I'd never throw a book at a child, it hurts physically and emotionally. On hindsight, I don't think the book throwing did me any good, my spelling and language skills improved with my positive reading habit, not with books thrown in my face!

Yes. Years ago, I had a copy of Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five" thrown at me by an irate instructor in a class.

Not me personally, but I have been in a court of law and the judge was throwing the book at a lot of people.

yeah but we were just kidding around throwing books at each others legs.then we thought about it and realized we might accidentally hurt someone or damage a good book so we don't do that dumb stuff anymore.(we is me and my best friend)
