Yes, it is OK to remove any unwanted programs, as long as they are not a part of the OS. You do not want to remove anything you are unfamiliar with, so investigate first. Some things, once removed, will prevent your computer from working, so be careful. Most trial programs can be removed without any problem. Every once in a while, you'll come across one that you remove, but when you turn the computer on again, lo and behold, there it is again. That can get frustrating, but those can be removed as well. It just takes different methods, but it is possible. If you want to remove the Microsoft Office 2003 or 2006, make sure you have an alternative Office you plan to install. You may have Norton on your computer, but you'll need some kind of anti virus program, so think about whether or not you'll be purchasing Norton or another AV program. There's etrust which is free. Good luck.

You can free up alot of hard disk space by removing those programs you need or want, and if they start at boot, it will takeup more resources that could have been used for the programs you do use.

Get rid of them. Computer manufactures are making big bucks selling advertising to you when you buy a computer.
The best solution is to do a clean install of Windows when you get the computer.

Yes, if it is something you won't use or want permanently on there you should remove it to save space on your computer.
