They got smaller. It is a means of increasing or maintaining profits. The same is true for a lot of different products. A lot of packaged food is smaller, but the prices are substantially the same. Look at packaged containers and you will see a lot of weird amounts. Typical amounts were 1/2 a pound 3/4 pound and 1 pound, now you will see a lot of fractions and unusual numbers such as 11 ounces.

I completelly agree with Mr. Burns' answer. In the fast food industries, it is very common to cut down the size of the serving so that they can maintain the product selling price even while the prices of other ingrediants are climbing.
Think about it. Good old day's Whapper from the Burger King and its arch enemy Big N' Tasty from the Mc rasied the price from 99c to $1.43.

You are right. They have not gotten smaller. The beef patties are the same size they have always been. You can also visit www.mcdonalds.com. The servings of french fries have also not gotten smaller...in fact the original large order of fries is now the medium and the original supersize is now the large.

even with if the style of massive Macs might want to look impressive, it comes out to type of one each and every 2 days. the usually happening American nutrition plan (regrettably) is possibly as undesirable or worse than having a hamburger the different day... a lot of human beings eat pork each day, bread, a variety of of kinds of fatty dressings/condiments, and so on. that's why weight problems and the well being complications regularly on the concern of it, are so ordinary in this united states.

I was eating one not too long ago, and I remember thinking the same thing, they have shrunk. Maybe we are just used to such large portions anymore, the quarter-pounder even looks smaller. When you are a kid, everything looks big.

i seriously doubt that big macs have gotten smaller. i have worked at mcd's for five years and they are the same size then as they are now. i agree with the other person. you were little so they looked so big. now that you are bigger they look really small. trust me having to look at them 5 days a week i would realize if they were smaller

I don't know, but I'll tell ya something I DO know...you can get a double cheeseburger for one buck! And two for two bucks!! Well shoot, you could even get 3 for 3 bucks...Now that I think about it, you could get 20 for 20 bucks. Who needs a Big Mac with righteous deals like that? ROCK ON!!!

I would have to agree with your friend. But then again, everything seems smaller, even the McNuggets.
