We like the concept of names that are less common, but not outrageous. My husbands name is Forrest and my name is Rachele (like ra-shell). We named our daughter Brooklyn, and are very happy with that, but boy names seem to be more difficult. I like Tristan, and my husband likes Gabriel, but we arent totally sold on either name. Any better ideas?

Tristan and Gabriel are both becoming very common, my 5 year old has 2 friends named Gabriel and 4 named Tristan!

I like Johann, Mathias, Lief (which goes nicely with Forrest), Caleb, Charles

I don't like Tristan...I think it's a dogs name...I know that is mean, but whenever I meet a kid named Tristan I think "nice dogie"

What about a last name first name... like Jackson, Jefferson... who knows my son's name is a bit odd...his name is Baker (yeah, I've thought of all the jokes...)

Good luck.

We named our son Maximus but we call him Max for short. We feel it is a good strong name. We compromised on Maximus because I wanted to name him after my father-in-law, Maximiliano.
