I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible and today I hit a dog. Killed the dog but didn't damage the car but it broke a "vaccum canister" thing on the drivers side. The part sits right behind/above my fog light. I can't find anywhere to find the name or where I can the part. Can anyone help?

I know I can go to a dealer. But I am kinda tight for money so I was hoping to find a name or something so I can call around to see if I just get one used.

Cricket:

Cute name, nice car. but seriously. You are correct, the part is called a "Vapor Canister", a part of the emissions system, and everyone (so far) has given you good suggestions.

It may be possible to find the part from an Auto Salvage yard. Most subscribe to a parts locator's service so if the one you go to / call does not have one they can search for it in other salvage yards in the area.

Unfortunately because your car is so new and this is a part that normally does not need to be replaced, you will probably have to buy it from a Chrysler dealership. Also call some Dodge dealerships, the part is interchangeable.

Take your old broken part to an auto wrecker and see if they can match it up for you. They should also be able to tell you what it is called. If they can't, than take it to an auto parts store.
