Yes it is normal:) My pelvic bone started hurting when i was about the same gestation and stopped about a month later.

There is a spot in the very front of the pelvis where there is a piece of cartilage that allows the pelvic bone to actually separate, and it does that in preparation for the birth of the baby. It's your bodys' way of making sure the baby head can get through:)

Some women feel it, some don't. Some it hurts like hell and others it's mildly discomforting. Myself, I felt it and it HURT!!

So I feel your pain, and it does get better, I promise.

Try talking to your doctor about it if the pain gets too bad. Maybe they can recommend a safe option that'll take the edge off. Good Luck and Congrats on the little one:)

I'm assuming you mean 51/2 mths pregnant! Yes I would say this is normal. Every woman is different, if the pain persists talk to you Dr. about it just to see that it isn't something more serious. My pelvic bone hurt for the first 5 mths or so then when my belly finally did "pop" the pain went away. Hope that helps.

Sure, especially if you are carrying low. My friend carried her baby really low and it hurt from about five months and on.
