In addition to explicit sexual language, former Congressman Mark Foley's Internet messages also include repeated efforts to get the underage recipient to meet him for drinking, dancing and more. Foley was trolling for sex on the internet.

Where is all the integrity and "moral values" Repugliscums love to claim? Oh,wait....is this yet another lie on top of all the other lies?

This isn't over, it's just beginning. Former Congressman Foley could possibly go to jail. But what I'm waiting for is the results of the ongoing investigation as to what congressmen/women knew and when they knew it. Could they have known about it for a long period of time and "conveniently" forgot to report it to authorities? If so, isn't that a criminal act, "failure to report a crime", "obstruction of justice", to name just a couple of possibilities? Do we know yet that Foley did not, in fact, molest any children. Stay tuned, this is going to be good.

Did you know that last year (I think) Foley was actually running, I think, for the Senate when people started talking about the idea(?) that he was gay. So, he dropped out of the Senate race to "care for his ailing parents." I don't know how he could do that still, having to be in Washington, but that's what I just heard.

It's bad enough that this guy was a pedophile that was known enough on Capitol Hill to warn pages about, but I just hope, but doubt, that not too many knew about it and did nothing.

Sexuality and morality are not the same. While we hope that our leaders are moral people, we know in our hearts that it is not 100% true, Look at Profumo scandal, and Clinton's mess...no country is exempt and it matters not whether it is homosexual or heterosexual in nature. The only thing that matters is protecting the young from sexual abuse. Since it is under investigation, you are only beating a dead horse. Such media coverage and gossip have led us to commit crimes by lynching innocent people. I am not saying he is innocent, but let the wheels of justice turn rather than simple fostering more bashing.

It wouldn't be fair to label this as a Republican thing unless there was a trend of this sort of explicicy throughout the party. This is just one, messed-up freak. Of course, you just seem to be looking for a way to insult them. Pity you feel the need to do that.
Have a nice day. Hope you meet a moral Republican some time soon.

Everyone really needs to stop with politicizing this travesty,
There are pervs on BOTH sides of the aisle, IF you really wanted to do some good or make a difference, you would be approaching this as yet another abomination perpetrated on yet another of OUR children and realize we need STRICTER laws for sex offenders!

Ask former Democrat Gerry Studds:

The difference being that Studds, like fellow Massachusettes Democrats Barney Franks and Teddy Kennedy, didn't have the decency to resign after being caught committing felonies.

MSNBC said he was so explicit that they couldn't
repeat it on air. That says it all to me.
