It's training. I'm guessing you are wondering why nursing degrees usually take 5 years.

It's a better way to keep you educated and to let you experience all varities of nursing instead of being stuck with one area. You can do it in 4 years, but it will be tough.

Nursing isn't the only degree that usually takes 5 years. If you look around you, MOST degrees are headed to 5 years.

when I went through nursing school it was 2 years( Fall-Spring-Fall-Spring or Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall) Plus you have to do your pre-recs wich will take 2-3 semester depending on how many hours you tak a semester
