i am planning to start on YASMIN..i am concerned abt weight gain and acne.My friend had no side effects in fact she lost some weight with yasmin.I want to know if any one has been using yasmin and have any side effects.Input is well appreciated.Thanks in advance

I took Yasmin, and did just fine with it. It has a diuretic, so you'll want to take it in the morning rather than at bed time or you'll be peeing all night. That's how you get the weight loss.
It does have side effects, just like every other birth control pill out there. No more, no less. All of the side effects are more prevalent in smokers.
It did make me a little bitchy the first month, but after that, no problems.

Remember that everyone reacts differently to birth control pills, so this is just my experience. I went on it as a substitute for another pill on which i gained weight. After a month i stopped, it was the worst experience i have had with BCPs. I felt like i was constantly going to throw up (which was probably why i lost a bit of weight) and my skin was the worst it has ever been. I broke out in the large red pimples on my face and all over my chest, which never used to be a problem for me. On the plus side, i didn't retain any water like on the previous pill. Once i stopped taking it i went back to normal pretty quickly, but i never recommend Yasmin to anyone.
But then again, it may turn out to be the best pill for you!

then bump the size up from 63% to much larger, and READ IT. MEGA number of side effects. Can't believe anyone would even CONSIDER consuming this toxic drug!
