Put an ad in newspaper, and remove the cars from the premesis! Some people will be glad to get rid of their (ornaments) and knowing that they are going to be used for educational purposes might help! Don't expect to get titles for all the cars, (note that you could use some "parts cars" too). However make sure you get a "bill of sale/release" saying that they have right to give the car away, (& that it is not a stolen car), -- this is for self protection!!

And of course "titled ones" might possibly be sold to finance "educational expenses"_(IE: parts etc). Or if you really want to be "hero" ocassionally put them up for auction (or sale) noting that the (profits) money will be given to some special charity!!

You might also look for a couple partners that want to "learn" along with you! So that you can "do collective thinking" and learn a little (more)- faster, - (as one person can sort of learn only one thing at a time)... With others doing other stuff, you can pass information back and forth, and see different things torn apart!
Thus saving time learning by doing one at a time by yourself!

Some heavy things are removed and replaced more easily by more than one set of muscles too! By the way they might be able to "share tools" too. So you don't have to buy all new tools out of your pocket for each special (project) need!

Look in the local paper. Often cars are for sale for less than 1,000. I once picked up a '67 Pontiac station wagon with a 400 V8 that ran for $100 that way. Owner wanted to get rid of it. I ended up using the engine and tranny in another project.
