Gypsy Girl, how do i find those? I have tried some of the groups were I live now, but they were so mean to us. My husband went with us the last time and sw how rude they were to my son and I. He said that we shouldn't go to those anymore and I agreed with him. How do I find groups of other parents that will actually be nice to us?

I just graduated and spent the last year as a mother of a growing infant-toddler.

1) Set up a play date with other mothers. When you are there, study.

2) Study in the evenings or at naptime.

3) Teach your child how to play by herself. My son spends 1/3 of his time entertaining himself. I watch him, of course, but he also plays how he wants to play .

4) Where in Kansas are you? If you're in the KC area, I know some cheap ($3/hour) day care providers. Even if it's just for 2 hours a day, it will give YOU a breath of fresh air and your child a gift of being with other kids her age.

Find other mothers in a similar situation. Set up a babysitting co-op. Each mother babysits all the children for one night (or part of the day) each week. If you get 4 mothers, then you would have 3 sessions of whatever length you agree on to study.
