This process of getting a girl I'm really excited about into the US is driving me nuts! Is the US as tough on Asian countries as it is on the Philippines? If not, what countries are they? Thanks!

Easiest would be Singapore. Why? Cause Singaporeans don't even need a visa to enter the US (leisure purposes).
Other "easier" Asian countries are Korea and Japan.

Everyone must undergo to this visa process..even though they can get there with a waiver visa, they still need to apply for visa if they decided to stay longer...
Yes, indeed it is very hard but it worth a lot if you are serious about this girl in Philippines.. If you are not looking for serious relation that would go to marriage, thinking about getting her to go there and visit you would be very impossible if you don't support her much in any ways...sometimes it takes a man to decide to make it happen if the other person can't make it or the other way.... .... aren't there any Filipinas in your area? That you would meet and may give you some more advices.. I am not living in US but I have been many times and I see Filipinas around married to Americans.
As they mentioned, Singapore don't need visa for getting there or Korean or Japanese....
I am really sorry for this hard situation between you and the girl..but I have known many friends from other countries who made it besides all the hardship of this visa process..
Still hoping you would not give up if you really love her but taking a chance to meet someone from another countries is another story..
One thing that you really nuts for is hard to give up, don't you think so... but if you give up..I think that is normal if you are not really thinking more of the future with any girl you meet, there is no commitment.
And I don't think only US is tough on them..if you have experience applying to go to another country to get married to their citizen is always a tough one considering their culture and traditions. If you have this so called FAITH, the girl you really nuts for will be rewarded to you for your genuine intention and hardwork together working for this visa wherever she came from..

Hi Retro - - I live in Thailand and I was fortunate to easily obtain a tourist visa for my girlfriend to visit USA several yrs ago.. However, most people have problems and you have to either pursue a marriage visa or fiance visa.. and the Embassy can still be tough.. Here, there are many stories of extreme rudeness from consular officers, quite far from being polite and diplomatic.. Many people are angered more by their behavior than the rejection of visas.. The last time we went for a renewal - both my now wife and I were instantly insulted in terrible ways [ for what reason and purpose I still have no idea ] and then given the visa as we easily qualify.. My wife who is a proud citizen here, not looking to become an American or a green card holder, this was just a visit - was deeply insulted in Thai before she even said one word.. She was angered enuf that even though she had the visa, she did not want to, and did not, accompany me on my visit.. Our story is one of the happier as I know of many people being upset to tears.. best of luck to you..

I'm not sure about other countries, but I do know that Filipinos do have to wait an extremely long time to get into the U.S, because so many are trying to get in right now. I don't know if you're trying to get something temporary and how that works though, so good luck.
My parents petitioned for all their brothers and sisters to come over about 10 years ago or so, and they still have yet to be approved. They said it was going to be 17 years then.. I'm not sure how long it is now.

If other nationalities are so much easier, then what would you do? Change your Filipino lover to Singaporean, Mexican or Tibetian by jumping one gal to another gal. No doubt USA is strict in granting a VISA to asians because a guy like you just want to 'import' a girl for instant gratification not long term commitment.
If you love her then try by all means.

i don't know about the other Asian countries, it also depends on what type of visa you're applying for. If its a tourist visa, more likely she will have a hard time getting one, but sometimes luck gets in the way. So why not give it a try, maybe she will get one.
