antibiotics won't help a yeast infection - antibiotics make it worse

I am 23 weeks and have tow girls already. I have done this many times. this sounds normal. Yeist infections are caused by moisture down there. Take the meds and it will go away. Also if by chance that this is not the reason, this med will not cause any problems. It can not harnm the baby. Also if you keep dry down there it will help. I use a simple panti liner to keep dry (changing often). Cotton underwear. You will see a change in a day ot two. Take the meds the correct way.

If you OB gave you the meds then it is safe to take them. Also my OB gave me a list of things safe to take while pregnant and Monistat 7 is perfectly safe to use. I had a few infections with my first pregnancy and 1 with this pregnancy and no harm done.

why take antibiotics? over the counter stuff should work fine...they have monostat 1. one dose...done. talk to your doctor to make sure it's ok when you're pregnant.

yuck. yeast infections suck.

eat yogurt everyday. that keeps you from getting them. no joke.

i have had yest infection before but i was not pregnat and the medication he gave you is to help the itch it might feel like its on the outside but its starts in the inside and works its way out. the more you itch it the more it spreads as well. it sucks and if he gave you monistate 3 then you should be ok. it shouldnt harm the baby you could also just try the cram they give you for the outside and see if that works as well just putting it where it itches. but more then likely its on the inside as well it just itches so much that it feels like its on the outside. but if you want to be more sure then just the advise on here call your doc and ask him more about it. i hope i helped a little bit. sorry if not
