Unfortunately, people voted for him and he was elected again. How someone could vote for him, I don't know! I didn't!

The President of the United States has to be a human being and not a superhero, and unfortunately the americans get to choose from just two, due to their very rigid 2 party system. The candidates are chosen by creaking party monoliths months before the heat of the debate, they have to have buttloads of money to mount campaigns (therefore being heavily indebted to various "interests" before they've even started) and be impervious to the barrage of media interest into their every breath over the last 50 years. It also looks (so far!) like they have to be white, Christian, male, and slavish to party lines. They also have to be professional politicians. That whittles the pool down quite a bit. It's not surprising that someone like GWB (who seems fairly likeable if you strip away his insane policies) ends up in the post. The real question is: "How did a nice intelligent fellow like Bill Clinton end up as president?"

what a question, First of all you Brits, you have your own **** going on. #2 There is a reason that the US is the most powerful country in the world. #3 that reason is that John Kerry is not the president. In an honest down to earth opinion George Bush is far more capable of running this Country than any one of the competitors from either of the elections. I believe that if Mr. Kerry would have come in to charge of the executive branch in 04 that Mr. Husein would still be planning attacks on the US which may make you Brits mad that he isn't but it goes back to a country full of jealous people the same kind of people who made this question. Conservatives are the ones who have kept the right for people to ***** about the problems in the US. Democrats are the ones who are pushing for Americans to have to give up their 2nd ammendment rights.

Can't answer that I'm afraid but one things for sure they'll never end the so called war on terror. I just feel sorry for the poor soldiers, their families and the innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan and how come if America is such a force for good that tragedies were allowed to happen in the likes of Lebanon and Rwanda? I honestly believe he could be the anti-Christ and will end up bringing most of the world to war. Tony Blair is just as bad, but looks like he's jumping ship before it sinks totally.

First of all, I am not supporting Bush. But the video was made to exaggerate the things. All the people in that video could have been dead/wounded by the attack of Iraqis and not by the WMD.
And remember the Bush and other people in that video are not laughing at the dead or injured people.
Comming to why Bush is still a president? The answer is people should have been more thoughtful.

The answer is, unfortunately, that they didn't.

The 2000 election was notoriously brought to a premature end by extremely dubious machinations in Florida, plus the almost criminal eagerness of certain TV networks to call the vote for Bush.

What's less well-known are the doubts and concerns about the legality of the result in the 2004 elections. Bush got one of the lowest popular votes ever for a war president (50.7%); some have argued that he didn't even get that without some pretty underhand behaviour (see below).

Americans have done their best on two occasions to prevent Bush from becoming president. The fact that it hasn't worked is, to me, evidence that this whole American independence thing has clearly failed, and that they should give the country back to Britain, France, Spain and the Native Americans. Not that they'll rule it any better, mind you. But the current system has clearly failed.

no offense to anyone reading this, but you could say how could the english let tony blair be prime minister for so long? or margaret thatcher? for the simple reasons that at the time they were elected, they were the best choice of a bad lot. who made facile promises to please the voters. although in george dubya's case it has to be said, big money from corporations with a vested interest played a huge part in his re-election, the man is contrary to popular belief not an idiot, he's a man out to line his pockets the same as most present day politicians, and until a politician says, i'll work for the national avrage wage and expenses, ill continue to hold that view

He's elected. He cannot be recalled like a PM in England.

A President has to be accused of "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" by the House of Representatives and tried by the Senate to be dismissed. With both houses of Congress under Republican control, that isn't likely to happen.

It does not matter who you vote for, - the government always get in and do what power crazed people have always done - send plain folk to get killed and maimed. America could be such a source of strength for good instead, as happened in WW1, Lions are being lead by donkeys

He brought values to the White House and everyone hates him for that. Maybe you would like him better if he were running around on his wife and shoving cigars into who knows where. I stand behind our President and his decision to fight against the islamic bastards that attacked our Country. Maybe the question should be how can the world still put up with islamic beliefs that hate freedom as most of us know it today. Lets end terrorism like we put an end to WW II...level the playing ground!
