I am not completely sure, but I believe it is close. India is growing at such a phenomenal rate. That is both its blessing and its curse.

very close but not yet in PPP(Power Purchase Parity) india is the fourth biggest economy in the world

no way is india smarter than the uk,or you wouldnt have a billion people looking for jobs elsewhere
