The current Democrat and Republican parties did not exist in colonial America. In fact, if you are speaking of true "colonial times," that is pre-1776 and the American colonies were under English Rule.

Did your teacher ask you a trick question?

1. "Luckily, intelligent Americans (who are obviously absent from this website)" You're on this website smart guy. 2. "imagine the soldier is Black" What the heck is that supposed to mean? Are you a racist or just stupid and insensitive? 3. "Capitalism for a more intelligent choice - Democratic Socialism" Democratic socialism? What the are you thinking? 4. "Constitution is a joke?!?" You're a joke, this question is a joke and your education is a joke The founding fathers are respected for the fact that they wrote the set of rules for our society in the best way possible. We have the best form of government on the planet when it's applied correctly. The constitution is not out of date because it is designed to change with time. That's what the 27 amendments are - changes to the constitution. You are the kind of person people point to as an example of over-liberal to the point of destroying the fundamental principles of America. Stop making us look bad. And if you want to live in a communist country, learn Chinese and move to china.

balls w and will are both correct. To add we can say that there were elitests< like alexander Hamilton, they would correspond to Republicans and there were those more liberal like Jefferson which would equate with a more Democratic platform as =in the Democratic party. These men were taking part in the revolution. There was also Raymond Burr who had a duel with Hamilton over these very issues and shot Hamilton, he's the guy on the 20 dollar bill. He was aristocratic and elitest.

Neither. The Democratic and Republican parties would not come until decades later.

A bunch of fascist city states. Many practicing clerical fascism. All practicing genocide of the natives.
It was called manifest destiny. Prior to the revolution there was only local government. The colonies had no central government and no explicit representation in the british government in England.

I'm just guessing but I think it was democratic since the Republican party had not been invented.
