I have a very silly question, but have tried what I felt was safe. My five year old was drawing this evening with a blue sharpie highlighter and it "exploded" all over his hands. I have tried the obvious to remove it, soap and water (lots of it), and rubbing alcohol. It will not come off at all, not even fade! My little boy will look like a smurf going to kindergarten tomorrow! :) Any safe suggestions for removal of the marker that I may try?

Thank you all for your suggestions! I did not even think about the nail polish remover! It did fade it a little, however; the aerosol worked! Awesome!! Thank you soo much!!

Nail polish remover, it has acetone in it. That will remove the ink.

I know it sounds weird but stridex (the stuff for your face) removes ink really well. If you have that, I would try it just to see if it will work.
