Foley has checked himself in to an "undisclosed Rehab" for treatmen to Alcoholism ... ironicly, now he's conveniently an alcoholic which gets him out of the spot light and into a protected facility after his resignation. Is Foley getting Special Treatment? Anyone else would be in jail by now ... as seen on TV. What do you think?

It amazes he how it is ok for so many of the responders that a person in high power, a law maker, and a law maker entrusted with the safety of children is praying on a teenage boy! Whether he has had sexual contact with a child or not remains to be seen and he is not guilty of that until proven so but are these people serious when they imply that the only way a child can be harmed is physically? If it were so, then conservatives themselvves would not be so obsessed with anti-pornography laws and censorship. Words and sexual advances, even if just in writing, can hurt a child psychologically for a long time, specially if they feel unable to tell an adult because the offender is in a position of power. Whomever does not see it this way, I feel sorry for their children!!! And if they dont have any yet, please keep it that way.
PS- It doesnt take a genious to know that regardless of the age of consent, a 16 yr old is not an adult and is in a vulnerable position against a Congressman!

I was thinking the same thing. If he was just some Joe Schmoe, he'd be thrown to the ground, handcuffed and his computer would be seized. He would then spend the rest of his days (and rightfully so) with the lable of pediphile, requiring him to register with the local law enforcement where ever he lives and preventing him from getting any type of job where he would be working with kids. BUT.....since he's a member of the GOP, sympathy abounds and he's just "sick" with a disease....needing our compassion and understanding. And his drinking problem is the root cause. So....he'll go to rehab and in a year or 2 he'll be back. I don't mean to sound bitter - however, it seems that the GOP is fat with it's own gluttonus consumption of power....and how many scandals need to come to light before something is done?

I recommend that youdo lock your door and according to probability shove a towel or some fabric to dam the gentle from beneith your door. As for sound, purchase a headset so as that the sound is going into the ear rather of the completed room. You dont rather need the sounds of a woman groaning filling the whole room now do you? Be cautios, in case you hear any sounds, then immediatly turn off your browser. chuffed jacking.

I don't condone his behavior, and I'm glad he resigned. You need to know though, that:

1) The age of consent in Washington D.C. is 16, so there was no crime.
2) There were only emails and IMs, no actual sexual contact.

Compare this case to the scandal in 1983 when it was discovered Gerry Studds, (D-Mass) was discovered to be having sex with a 17 year old male page.

He's only doing exactly what Representative Kennedy did a few months ago. Hurry and check into rehab.......but Kennedy didn't have the grace to resign.....too bad

Barney Frank ring a bell to you?

No Democrat cried out to have him fired.

I'm also reminded of a common phrase in our legal system. "Innocent until proven guilty"

Intresting....

Yes, of course he should be in jail. So should the people who knew about this (GOP members).
