I hope that you have your CD's that came with your Windows Platform, if that is the platform you use.

For your personal security, privacy you will need to reformat your system an if I was you also get a new email account with a different password. (The person who hijacked your system as all your data plus pass words).

If you used credits cards to purchase anything on the internet, I would call the credit card companies an advise them. Also I would report this incident to your local police. (If they want they have the technology to track the person who hijacked your system).

To protect your privacy and avoid future hijacks of your system, you should purchase good antivirus system like the one I use and the Government of China uses.

Being a clinical psychiatrist I have a moral and legal obligation to keep my pc 100% clean from all virus/spyware/malware.

I tested every free and purchase antivirus system known. An I found only one that actually works 100%. Never had a virus or spyware in my system in nine years.

Go to, www.filseclab.com and download thier Twister AntiTrojan Virus program. (You will have to pay a small one time fee). You will never have to pay an annual fee for updates, support or new versions. The one time fee is for life. ($29.99)

The software company is located in Beijing, China. They have excellent support, frequent large signature updates an as always all new versions are free. No annual fee for anything.

Comes with a real time scanner that really works. Actually I am quite amazed over the nine years how well it works.

Scans memory on startup.
Real time scanning in the background.
Open any webpage with an embedded trojan/spyware or malware and scanner will clean on the spot. An It is really removed from your system.

Download any kind of program from zips, all compressed files, software files, music, etc, etc, an if there is a hidden embedded trojan, spyware, malware, this program will stop the download and clean. An will advise you to end the download.

Will even find a virus in the installer wizard, like "Wise Installer". And will stop the installation while it is being installed and clean. Plus this program always will trace back who installed the trojan.

I had a trojan in and wizard installer. Twister caught the trojan and stopped the installation. I wrote the origianl company and told them the wizard installer had an embedded trojan to steal your data. The company now uses thier own installer.

You can't beat this software for a one time purchase fee only. Actually I don't know of any antivirus progam that even comes close to this state of the art technology.

All I can say it is worth the one time fee. Your pc cost alot of money and you don't want it destroyed. Plus your privacy is protected at all times.

There is nothing in it for me to praise this program. I tell it like it is. If it is garbage then I will say so.

Installl, Zone Alarm Free, from: www.zonealarm.com
Install, Superantispyware, from www.superantispyware.com excellent free program.
Install, Ad-aware Personal Se --from www.lavasoft.com --another excellent program that has been in the adware/antispyware business before any one ever thought of spyware.
Install Ewido-Antispyware, from: www.ewido.net. Not free but will become free after thirty days if you don't purchase. They will only remove the guard in the tray and the auto. updates.. You will have to update manual.

Only have one antivirus program, otherwise you will have conflict with two antivirus program.. You can have two or three antispyware programs without conflict with the antivirus system. May slow your system down a little.

Plus you have to keep up with your Microsoft critical updates that come out every second Tuesday of each month. Either have auto downloads or go to start=windows updates= windows will scan your system for critical updates and you will install all.

Plus always reboot your system if a virus or spyware is found.

Good luck, and try and protect your privacy and investment in your pc. (Does not sound like you have. Will get expensive if you don't learn from this mess).

I asked for Yahoo's help too trying to catch a scam artist with regard to their auction site and alI I got was some stupid automated response. They cancelled the use of his account so we never could complete the transaction so the authorities could finally nail him. All I could do after that was forward the emails with headers and hope they catch him. But for what? We never completed the deal. Nice going yahoo!

Forget everything you have lost. Open a new Yahoo account. Be SELECTIVE about how you use the internet. MOST people don't get their accounts hijacked, and MOST people who do have trusted a bad source with their information.

yahoo doesn't help free users. click on my account link above and change what ever needs changing in your account info to get your account back the way it was

you should use a verylong yahoo id with capital letters, uncapitalized letters and numbers mixed together. the longer the better. long alpha/numeric passwords are very difficult to hack. use as many characters as the server will let you.

don't trust your friends with your password. friends love to play jokes on you. this happens all the time here at yahoo and everywhere else. i don't even trust my mother with mine. :)

WRITE IT DOWN SO YOU DON"T FORGET IT
