hello welcome to the world of emo (emo = emotional). i am emo. if i'm listening to very depressing stuff, i'm depressed (Hello by Evanescence). if it's very happy, i'm happy (The Hush Sound). but i mainly think if you like or dislike what your listening to it should effect how you're feeling.

Music basically IS emotion, the emotion of whoever wrote/performed the song. A lot of times people will choose what music to listen to based on the emotions they're already feeling, but by changing it up the mood of an individual can change to adapt to the style of music. Sometimes if I'm feeling depressed I'll listen to depressing music and it just hits me right, other times I'll listen to chill, yet happy music and it will gradually bring me back up.

I think music affects your emotions alot. Can man you Happy, Sad, Remember certain things places smells moments in time. Music's The BEST. If I hear the song In My Life I think of the night John Lennon was killed.

Yes, I believe it does. There is likely some scientific way that it effects your brain, but I know it affects MY mood; if I listen to Grillz, I feel like singin'. If I hear Temperature, I feel pumped up. Unfaithful is good, but makes me sad. Some songs add positive emotion, some negative, some raise BP, some will give ya' a heart attack ;) But all songs affect all people differently.

If you listen to music that's dark and gloomy, that's how you'll feel. But I've found that when I listen to upbeat stuff that's really catchy, I don't feel sad anymore.
