Is that true? Do you lose the sensitivity in your nipples?

Why would you want to do such a stupid thing.
Do you ever think that it might cause infection.
Your nipples are a very sensitive area. What
about when you have a baby - breastfeeding>
I really think - you should too - about the effects
when you GROW UP. Don't worry about the
sensitivity in your nipples - worry about your
Sense - which you should be using right now.

No you do not lose sensitivity, it actually increased my sensitivity 100 percent! I only have my right one pierced. I got it done almost 6 years ago and have never regretted it. While all my friends were getting their belly buttons pierced, I got my nipple done. I figured that if I was going to go through the pain of getting something pierced, I should get one that would benefit me, lol. Although I've thought about getting more, I haven't YET. I think that if it is done right and you go to someone reputable you'll enjoy it, I know that I do, and my hubby likes it also. I also like seeing the expression on peoples faces when they find out that I got it done, because if you met me, you'd never believe it, lol.
Some people are ignorant, yes you can still breast feed, I have 3 kids and breastfed all of them, 2 of them after having the nip pierced, you just have to take the ring out. My doctor said there was nothing wrong with it and my babies gained weight I breast fed them for almost a year and a half each. Having this done will not change that. As for infection, like I said earlier, you just have to take care of it like your told when you get it done.

It depends on the person.
I know a lot of people who say it increases the sensitivity, other's say there was no change.

If it is pierced incorrectly you might have a problem with losing feeling. Make sure you go to a good tattoo/piercing shop.

You should know that this is singularly the most painful peircing to heal. It will have to be protected or you will wake up in pain every time you turn over. I don't even want to think about it becoming infected.

Also, in emergency situations where your heart has stopped & electricity is used to start it, all metal must be removed from the chest immediately before electricity is applied, regardless if it is attached or not. OUCH!!!!

What ever you do consider the consequences carefully.

Some do lose sensitivity, some don't. It varies. You may also lose your ability to breastfeed. Body piercings and tattoos are serious and permanent decisions. If I were you, I'd give it more thought.

Just one nipple pierced? Why not both?

Leave your nipples alone, except for...and serious pleasure. That way, you won't have to find out the hard way. Nipples are beautiful gifts, don't mutilate them.
