Hello!

Age requirements are different for different types of offices. Candidates for U.S. House must be 25 or older. Candidates for U.S. Senate must be 30 or older, and those for U.S. President must be at least 35. State-level offices may have age requirements too, depending on the state and the position. I live in Pennsylvania, and to run for State Representative, you must be 18 or older. In 2004, I volunteered for a candidate who was only 20 when he was running for state house. This year, we have a 25-year-old Iraq veteran, Jason Leisey, who is running for State Senate in the 36th District. I have heard of other candidates under 30 running in offices nationwide.

Only if they're running for the House. I think the age limit in that is 25. If I'm wrong, then anyone under 30 is too young.

I'm pretty sure that in the US the age minimum is 30.
