There is/are new writers. Some are being written off the show, and some actors just didn't renew their contracts so they could pursue different careers. The new shawn is a doing a good job so far, but he isn't as good looking as the other Shawn. I just hope they don't strip it down to the point it isn't worth watching.

Phillip is leaving soon and so are the Lockharts in Feb. Phil will probably be recasted, he is going to be the new Victor jr. John Aniston had a heart attack.
Marlena is coming back.
