No, because I feel that the day could get better (or think that the day will get better - optimistic attitudes help). Even if it doesn't, if I lived the day to the best of my ability and it went bad, I sleep it off and start again tomorrow. Tomorrow is just another day...and sleep does magic.

OH sure, everyone does sometimes. And sometimes you just gotta punt. Do what you have to do until the end of the day and then go home, glom up on your couch and give up for a little while. I truly believe that if you can allow yourself a little time (just a little) to truly give up and not think or move or serve anyone or be productive you will feel SO much better! We all owe so many people so much of our time that we deserve to be worthless for a couple of hours. And gimpalomg, honey, I'm sorry you feel that way. Find some time when can be alone and wallow in your funk, don't wonder why you're in it (and if you already know, don't try to think through it, just be in it). Then you can figure out how to get out of it I hope. Not in any way trying to assume that you don't have valid reasons but you ARE alive and there IS a reason. Hope you get happy soon!

Ahhh yes! We all have! Sometimes when I am having a bad day, I day dream about going back to bed and starting over the next day. Just keep your head up and push through it. God doesn't give us more then we can handle. Sometimes it seems like too much but he knows better then we do! Cherish each day whether it is good or bad because you never know when it is your last day!

In the middle of the afternoon sometimes I just take like a 20 min. nap while the boys are asleep and it really helps to make the rest of the day/night go by easier. I really think they should implement a nap time at work even a 30 min. nap can really regenerate a person.

Man I have been in a funk since 1986. I honestly can't figure out why I am still alive. Maybe just too big a coward to jump.

Those three sentences are the absolute truth. They are not, in any way, an attempt at a smart *** remark.

absolutely... there are days that for some reason or another is just not productive... so, instead expending more energy and reaping nothing but frustration, I pick up a good ol' novel and read... OR if I cannot do that becuase am in the office, I elect to do the much needed "house-cleaning" like clean up my computer files, clear up my desk and drawers, read through correspondence until 5pm strikes and way I go... then I treat myself to a Starbuck cappuccino to comfort myself he he he

NO!!! I never give up. that would just be wrong. When i am having a really bad day it seems that if i can get through it in some what of a good mood than it doesn't seem to be as bad. I guess what i am trying to say is don't give up. It means a lot more if you can get through it in a bad mood than just quiting.
