I really like the idea of your mom being so supportive. Also, little advice for the young men: the best way to attract the girls is hygeine. Wash your face, brush your teeth, take a good shower. Then use anti-perspirant, not plain deodorant. Deodorant covers up odors, anti-perspirant keeps you from getting sweaty in the first place. If you would like to use cologne, just use a tiny bit.

Make sure your pants are long enough to cover your socks, too. Where you shop depends on where you live. Aeropostale, Old Navy, and Kohls have some decent clothes for guys your age. Check out the high school boys and what they wear - that will help you out a little, too.

As for your hair, ask to go to a beauty salon and ask about styles for guys.

The freaky changes that happen with your body? They're normal, they're freaky, and they happen to all men. Enjoy your newly-acquiring manhood. You'll do fine.

Wow, you really have a lot of questions and this may be the worst possible place to get good answers, but one thing I would share with you, you will make it through the teen years, you will be alright, you don't have to read alot of books on how to live your teenage years, some things will come naturally. Wear what you like rather than what everybody else is wearing. In other words, just try to be the best you can be.

Take it easy once you get the fire for the ladies it won't leave you alone so don't rush things. When hair starts growin on your face you'll learn how to shave. When you grow out of your old jeans you'll get new ones. Your right about that though aint no point spending to much on a pair of jeans your gonna donate to good will in a few months. Speaking of which you can get some cool stuff at those places. Make your own style. That kinda thing. Good luck

Puberty is a confusing time for boys and girls. When your mother said "shoot up" she meant that she's expecting you to have a growth spurt. Many boys grow several inches taller in the course of a year.
It's normal to experience discomfort in the legs and genitalia, it's because you're growing. Don't worry too much about not getting a girlfriend right away, it takes time to "settle" into yourself as your body changes.

There are alot of books out there that might help you out about questions with puberty. There are also teen magazines that might give you some ideas about clothing and hair. As for the girls, just be yourself. Don't try and be somebody you're not. Girls don't like fake. Good Luck!
