After the revolution, America had a 75 million dollar debt with Spain, France and the men who fought. How did they pay them off?

Up until 1776, trade with England was the only commercial business allowed. Americans had a lot of products to offer (Indigo, rice, tobacco, grain, fish, wood) but the English would only let us trade with them (one of the reasons for the revolution)

After 1776 things bascially worked the same way except we traded with everyone except England (France and Spain moslty)
