they should be set in golie postion, look at their rookies play. they have fast young fowards, and the best defense. and the experience. i think they will but what else can stop them.

Maybe, but the last two years they couldn't go beyond the second round. Hopefully they'll do better this time.

The goalies will be what stops them if they have a problem. Usually they blame the goalie when it is not his fault-like they blamed Manny. Their problem in the '06 playoffs was scoring--where was Datzuk, Shanahan and Hetterberg? No one was scoring. Has Datzuk ever scored in the playoffs? I don't think so. Manny did not play excellently but he did not play poorly either. This year you have Hasek--if he lasts to the playoffs and Osgood who you never know from one game to the next what he is going to play like. If everybody can 'get it together' they have a good chance of going all the way.

Does not matter squat who you have upfront in Det's case. As long as Hasek is healthy the Dead Things will be no longer.
I don't think Det has the best D by a long shot. That weak division flatters them.

Team Chemistry and Communication is key. Hasek's groin problem and lack of scoring could hurt the wings. But I have confidence they will do better since they will be seen as the underdogs going into the playoffs. Lidstrom will make a great CAPTAIN as will Draper, Zetterberg, Holmstrom and Datsyuk.

of coarse, with danny markov, nick lidstrom, zetterburg they will unstoble in the playoffs. they will be ranked thrid in the west
