I need to do a plot line for a short story in English and I wanted to do a horror story, but I can't seem to come up with ideas for a good story. Help please...

Hm, how about stuck in an abandoned city, where "weird things" and the sense of lonliness and seclusion make the dude go crazy, and then the monsters/zombies/etc begin "following" him. Sorry, I'm a starter, not a finisher ;)

just look at a story that u already know, and twist it around. I dont wanna call it pleagrism cus its not identical, but make it so where its even better than the original.

how bout a ghost story.... just that same person.
like the person could be fighting against other people like demons..... then when they finally gets to the very last bad guy.... its themselves... and the spirit goes into them and they have to live with themselves forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
