Ok, first of all I have to say, if I were you......telling your friends could be a HUGE mistake. That's an awful way to find out which ones are really your true friends. And if ( which is highly probable ) they are not true friends like you think, the WHOLE entire school will know. And they WILL make fun of you. It WILL follow you until you graduate (which is a long time) Kids are cruel sweety. Keep it to yourself, and if you absolutely must tell him/her be prepared for what could happen. They may act like they don't mind and say they will not tell, but what happens when you two get into a fight? Or they weren't really that great of a friend to start off with? You can't just quit going to school, and prob can't transfer if the other kids do find out, once you say it, it can't be undone.
Now I have to ask, what have your parents done about this issue??? Have they taken you to a specialist? Is this problem due to your weight (extremely over or underweight), are you doing excersises to help the muscles? Is there a surgery in order? You really need to discuss this issue with your parents-at your age you should not be dependant on incontinence aids, dear. You need to talk to them about how you feel, and how this issue is affecting your daily life and relationships (as it obviously is)
And to clarify, honesty is the best policy, but sometimes so is the don't ask don't tell. Goodluck and you will be in my prayers!

Telling the truth is always the best way to go. If you are concerned that they will laugh at you then that means you aren't sure if they are truely a friend or an acquaintance.

Pretty in pink says they still laugh at their "friend". Friends like her you don't need because they really aren't friends. Anyone that would laugh at someone else's uncontrollable condition should have their chests examined because they have no heart.

Good luck, and I hope this person is a true friend.

You could say, "I have a problem with my bladder (not blatter) and have to wear a continence brief" - which sounds more adult and cleaner than saying the word "diapers".

Tell them the truth. If they laugh at you and make fun of you then they're not your friend now are they?
