I have a question. I live in an apartment complex that is based on income. I just received a note that my rent is going up to maximum and several members of my family who are also in the income based apartments the next town over says I'm making less money than they are and still I'm paying the full amount.

They say that I shouldn't be paying near as much as they say I will be starting to pay this month.

Does anyone know the calculations that it is based upon? I get about 30 hours a week at work and I make 9.30 an hour.
I get paid bi-weekly.

I think that is all the info that you would need to calculate income.

Actually I have a correction, I only make 8.30 an hour....not 9.30

If you are in the same county, their basis should be in accordance with State Law. Get the scale at your family's housing and if in the same county, take the info to your renters office.
