It might be easier for Pakistan to produce better politicians if the ones they have weren't constantly coming to power through coups. Musharraf came to power in 1999 by militarily overthrowing the government, and his title is still officially General Musharraf. A government chosen in a free and fair election could go a long way towards improving general quality.

of course not! don't you know that the usa produces the very best of EVERYTHING???!!!??? but most specifically, we, the bleeting voters and ralliers for the presidents of the united states, expect that once they take office, that they be the very best bluffers, liars and idiots in the world

He is a general who took power in a coup. And with all the radicals in that country we're lucky they don't elect somebody like the Iranian president.
