Was Rome ever destroyed and rebuilt? If so, what year?

I'm writing a song for the new snickers commercial, and can't come up with anything profound about this idea...

Many times. One famous time was when in burned in 67AD, and Nero supposedly watched from a distance playing his fiddle. The Christians were blamed for the fire. Historians today believe that Nero himself ordered the fire to clear out the slums.
