We do know, now, that the universe is not infinite in size, or in age/life. After you exit our own galaxy, there are billions upon billions of other galaxies, black holes, supernovas, etc in the universe. The universe itself is composed of matter, anti-matter, dark matter, and dark energy (the latter is a somewhat recent discovery, if you can even call it a discovery). Dark matter and dark energy are invisble to the human eye, and we actually have never seen dark energy in any sense (in a way, it is theoretical, as we do not actually know what it is). Moving back to the idea of size and lifespan of the universe; the universe, as we all know, began (we believe) with what is called the Big Bang (the theory of a big bang is also used for the formation of our solar system). As we know, the Big Bang is an event in which an explosion (naturally) took place. The universe, upon formation, was smaller than an atom. However, the universe has grown a great deal (I am sure you knew that) over billions of years. The universe is, contrary to what we recently believed, is not slowing down in its growth (this would allow for the theory of the Big Crunch, in which the universe collapses on itself), but it is actually speeding up. This has led us to believe that in (if my information is correct, although I am just trying to remember at this point) that in around 14 billion years, the universe will still be speeding up, to the point at which matter itself splits apart. In this future, every atom would be destroyed, not even protons would be able to stay together. This would lead to a universe very much like the new universe (not in size, but in composition). All that will exist is energy...vast amounts of energy. I hope that this has helped a bit.

What if there's a reason why we don't know... Why it isn't figured out yet. I know this question is old but I'm doing a lot of research and I'm going insane thinking about it... What if were not supposed to know till death occurs .? Outer space just continues , till death we see the truth... What's really there, when it really stops. If heaven or hell is real. I read that they dig deep enough to hell , how deep? How can one go far enough ? I believe no one knows for a reason. and we soon to find out when we die.

I want to know what is beyond outer space not just our galaxy. Is it just one big loop there has to be an up or down or is our brain just not complex enough to understand or see more than three demensions? Maybe there is so much more than we as humans can actually understand we do only use 10% of our brains. Maybe we just haven't evolved enough to see things that are right in front of us?

Actually, according to religion, God said, in his Holy Books, that there are "Seven Skies". So imagine all of this: You are currently on earth. Earth is just a planet out of a million other planets. Earth, along with the well-known other planets (sun, uranus, mars, etc) exists in a galaxy. Our galaxy is the milky way. It consists of a 100-400 billion stars, comets, planets and all that stuff. Now, besides The Milky Way, there are thousands and thousands of other galaxies. All of these galaxies, combined, only make up 1 out of the Seven skies, mentioned by God!!! Scientists have studied and explored only 0.0000000001% (probably smaller). So imagine sky#1,2,3,4,5,6, up till seven. It is impossible to ever discover space, completely. The least we could do is learn about our galaxy, The Milky Way. And i doubt we're the only creatures, by ourselves, in this galaxy, alone. God, we need to spend money on space exploration..

after outer space, it becomes known as interstellar space (Between the galaxys), the farthest they've seen with hubble is a galaxy that is approx 15.5 billions lightyears away, beyond that, well thats where theory comes in and facts stop

As far as science can tell us, there is nothing. One theory is that the universe loops around on itself, soft of like the video game Asteroids; if you keep going in the same direction, you would eventually come back to where you started.
